denying Cottonwood Creek's permit to reinstate their operation in West
Fresno. \n\nRev. Floyd D. Harris Jr, the National President of NNIA, local
Pastors and other Concern citizens will speak to ongoing problem that led
to West Fresno being the breeding ground for hazardous waste companies in
the last 50 years. \n\nThese businesses in West Fresno has polluted the
breathing air in the lowest income poverty community in the city of Fresno.
Cottonwood Creek CWC may have possibly processed hazardous waste material
generated by local cheese and dairy manufacturing industries. This business
may have used chemicals and bacteria, which may have released intolerable
amounts of offensive, noxious odor into the air. The odor continues to
cover entire West Fresno neighborhoods causing residents and employees who
work near the business to become sick. The West Fresno Community has
suffered long enough form Darling International stinking up our air for
over 50 years!\n\nCotton Wood Creek's Conditional use Permit has been
REVOKED and now CWC has appealed to reinstate of their operations to the
Fresno City Planning Commission. The Hearing will be held on Wednesday
December 17,2008 at 6:00 pm. at the Fresno City Hall, Second Floor, City
Council Chamber, 2600 Fresno Street, Fresno. \n\n\nIt our belief that
Fresno must comply with one of the most important international conventions
which states that each human being is entitled to a clean environment.
That declaration, signed in Stockholm Declaration in 1982 states: "Man has
a fundamental right to live in a appropriate conditions and live in a good
 healthy environment"\n
