DESCRIPTION:Dancing in the Gap of Uncertainty: Monthly Workshops and
Telecourses\n\nHosted by Bay Area Nonviolent Communication, a nonprofit
educational organization.\n\nNonviolent Communication has been described as
a language of compassion, as a tool for positive social change, and as a
spiritual practice. Its basic premise is that underlying all human actions
are needs that people are seeking to meet, and that understanding and
acknowledging these needs can create a shared basis for connection,
cooperation, and more globally -- peace. \n\nBay Area Nonviolent
Communication would like to invite you to participate in any of our
upcoming "Dancing in the Gap of Uncertainty: Embracing Discomfort as a Path
to True Freedom" workshops or telecourses which begin soon!\n\n 1. Do you
want to increase your ability to embrace fully who you are and reach for
life without attachment?\n\n 2. Would you like to expand your capacity to
face and transform inner obstacles so you can have more choice?\n\n 3.
Are you hoping you could keep your heart open to yourself and others more
of the time?\n\n 4. Do you long to gain awareness of your inner
experience and beliefs, and have the freedom to make choices that serve
your deepest aspirations?\n\nThese workshops and telecourses are led by
Miki Kashtan of Bay Area Nonviolent Communication. Miki has been
supporting the national and global movements to create governmental
ministries and departments of peace, including facilitation of a global
summit in Japan and a regional summit in Africa. She has several articles
in print in publications such as Tikkun and Encounter magazines. Miki
holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of California at
Berkeley.\n\n"Miki's leadership inspires, startles, thrills and challenges
my growing edge. It meets my needs for hope, fresh possibilities, and
change in the smallest part of my heart and in the world at large."
--Melody Stewart, Santa Rosa, CA \n\nA break for lunch will be provided; a
Whole Foods Market and Deli is across the street from the workshop
location.\n\nContinuing Education Units are available for MFTs, LCSWs and
RNs.\n\nFor more information about the monthly
 workshops:\n\nhttp://www.baynvc.org/calendar/view_entry.php?id=CD2714&date=20081213\n\nFor
