DESCRIPTION:The Friendly Fire Collective presents...\n\nWHOEVER THEY VOTE FOR, ARE WE
UNGOVERNABLE?\nAn evening of friendly discussion hosted by the Friendly
 Fire Collective.\n\nThis Wednesday, November 12th at 7pm\nStation 40 event
 space - 3030B 16th st. @ Mission St.\nSan Francisco\n\nNow that the
elections are over and it looks like we have a new leader in line to take
power, we feel that it's time for anti-authoritarians in the Bay Area to
come together and discuss what the next 4 years will look like and - more
importantly - how we can be more effective under a new
administration.\n\nWill we continue to be marginalized like during the Bush
years? Or does America's shift to the left open an opportunity for new
organizing and action?\n\nBring your ideas and friends and join us for a
guided discussion on these questions and more this Wednesday night.\n\nSome
topics that will be brought forward for discussion are:\n\n-Obama and Race:
\nHow does a predominantly white anti-authoritarian movement relate to the
first black presidency?\n\n-Obamaphoria:\nHow has the left's obsession with
Obama resurrected ideas of nationalism and/or patriotism?\n\n-
Organizing:\nHow can we begin to organize in a context defined by a
rhetoric of institutional 'change' and 'progress'?\n\nLooking forward to
seeing you all there!\n\nFor more info on Friendly Fire
