DESCRIPTION:Coal is Over. Join us and others from across the country on the national
Coal Day Of Action on November 14th. Show businesses, citizens and the
nation that coal is over and that we want investment in safe, clean energy
like wind and solar!\n\nAs a fuel source, coal is as dirty as can be -
emitting 67% more CO2 per unit of energy than natural gas. On top of that,
40% (or 2 billion tons a year) of greenhouse gas emissions in the US come
from coal. 1 in 15 American children have asthma while over 150 new coal
plants are in various stages of development across the country!\n\nPG & E
claims they're working hard to get us off fossil fuels and onto renewable
energies. However, they're building four new polluting natural gas-powered
plants, and two-thirds of our energy already comes from dirty, polluting
sources. They spent nearly $10 million dollars in a campaign to stop Prop
H, which would allow San Francisco to build it's own solar and wind power
and get off the greater dirty PG&E grid. That's a lot of money to spend in
a campaign claiming such clean energies are "too expensive". Lastly, PG&E
still has dirty coal plants running. The remaining coal plants need to go,
let's make sure they know.\n\nCome out and show PG&E that coal is dirty,
 unnecessary and unhealthy!\n
