DESCRIPTION:Uhuru Holiday Pies are baked collectively by volunteers in a commercial 
 kitchen in the Oakland/East Bay area. \n\nThese delicious pies have been a 
 fundraiser for the Uhuru Movement since 1981. Supporting social justice and 
 economic development for African communities from West Oakland to West 
 Africa.\n\nNo experience is necessary! You can bake on a shift with your 
 friends and family. We are looking for both experienced and beginning 
 bakers. Volunteers are needed to help mix large vats of pie filling, bake 
 and then box and label mountains of pies! \n\nOn this bake day, we will be 
 mixing vegan and traditional pumpkin pies and cooking and mixing sweet 
 potatoes for the Sweet Potato Pies.\n\nVolunteers are also needed to make 
 pie deliveries and staff the pie pickup locations. \n\nSign up for 3 or
