 [?]\nDate: 2008-11-03, 8:39PM PST\n\n\n\nSins Invalid: An Unshamed Claim to
Beauty in the Face of Invisibility\n\nHarvest Greetings! Are you looking
for a way to support your soul, whet your political voice, and meet cool
folks? Are you interested in fun, healing, and moving performance
workshops? Then join us for a :\n\n\nNomy Lamm Performing for Sins Invalid
in September 2008 Fall Workshop: Singing Your Passion\nwith
 singer/songwriter Nomy Lamm\nWHEN: Sunday, Nov.\n16th, 1:30-3:30pm\nWHERE:
 2781 24th St.\n, San Francisco, CA 94110 [view map]\nCOST: Free!\n\n\nEvery
voice is important and deserves to be heard! Learn to access the physical
and energetic components of your voice. Breathe, stretch, open and listen
to what comes out without judgment. Hear your own voice in community with
others who are learning to give voice to their truths. This workshop is
playful, experimental, and open to all levels – especially people who are
afraid to sing or have been told they "can't.\n"\n\n\nNomy Lamm is a
writer, musician and activist whose work has been featured in magazines
(Ms., Punk Planet, Make/Shift), anthologies (Listen Up, Body Outlaws, and
most recently Word Warriors and Working Sex, all on Seal Press), and
onstage in theaters, universities and nightclubs all over the US. She has
toured with Sister Spit (1999), the Sex Workers Art Show (2005), and the
cabaret showcase Dr. Frockrocket's Menagerie and Medicine Show (2001). She
has released two solo albums (Anthem, 1999 on Talent Show, and Effigy, 2002
on Yoyo Recordings) and co-wrote, co-produced and performed in "The
 Transfused", a post-apocalyptic rock opera about multi-gendered
animal-human hybrids, in 2000. She teaches voice lessons, and is currently
working on her first novel, The Best Part Comes After the End.\n\n\n\nOur
workshops are open to anyone who is interested in exploring the
intersection of sexuality and disability, regardless of prior experience in
movement or writing. Workshop participants are encouraged to investigate
their intersecting identities within the social justice framework. If space
becomes limited, we will prioritize participants who identify as having a
 disability.\n\n\n\nSpring 2008 Workshop participants said:\n\n"I loved
learning new words and ways of moving. Thank you for sharing your power,
grace, and heart. You remind us to love ourselves just as we are.\n"\n"The
music, energy and intention was definitely felt — many
thanks!"\n\n"Tongue Rhythm inspired and joyed me.\n"\n\nFor more
