DESCRIPTION: On Tuesday October 21, 2008, at the WILPF general meeting, our Assemblyman 
 John Laird will help us sort out the 12 statewide ballot measures that will 
 be decided at the November 4 election.  While the presidential choice is at 
 the top of the ticket and our focus, it is critical that this year's bumper 
 crop of state ballot measures not get lost in the election shuffle.  This 
 is not an endorsement meeting, but an opportunity to get more informed on 
 the choices to be made at the ballot box.  So bring your sample ballot and 
 election pamphlets with you to help in following the discussion.\n\n     
 The meeting will be held as usual at the Friends' Meeting House, 225 Rooney 
 St., in Santa Cruz, starting at 7 p.m. Free, open to all, donations happily
