DESCRIPTION:Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a way of communicating that strengthens 
 our ability to stay in touch with our humanity and get our needs met, even 
 under difficult circumstances. Instead of habitual responses, our words 
 become conscious responses based on a clear awareness of what we are 
 observing, feeling, and wanting. We are led to express ourselves with 
 honesty and clarity, while paying respectful and empathic attention to 
 others.If parenting can be like having your heart walking around outside of 
 your body, this series aims to grow our honesty and empathy so we meet both 
 our kids' needs and our own. Using exercises and roleplays, we'll unwrap 
 the habits that get in our way of being the parents we want to be.Led by 
 NVC Santa Cruz trainer and parent Kristin Masters6 week series - Thursdays,
