 Association to Host Event\n\nBURLINGAME, Calif. (August 15, 2008) — 
 Women’s Recovery Association (WRA) will feature Emmy award-winning 
 producer, entertainment reporter, and film critic Jan Wahl at a fund-raiser 
 Saturday, October 25, 2008.  The sharp-witted Wahl will present her unique 
 perspective on the entertainment industry’s alcohol and drug history in 
 “From Gone with the Wind to Gone with the Weird ...What Happened to 
 Hollywood?”  \n\nThe event will be held at the Sharon Heights Golf and 
 Country Club in Menlo Park from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.  A private 
 reception with Wahl will be available for Premier ticket holders at 1:00 
 p.m.  \n \nWahl’s Hollywood introspective will feature movie clips that 
 illustrate the increasing proliferation of drugs and alcohol in the 
 entertainment industry. It will also reveal Wahl’s personal, 
 behind-the-scenes insights on famous leading Hollywood actors who have been 
 adversely affected by substance abuse, from Judy Garland to Heath Ledger. 
 \n\nTickets for the event are $50 and tax-deductible. Premier tickets, 
 which include a private reception with Wahl before the event, are $75 and 
 tax-deductible. Tickets are available through the WRA website at

 also welcome.\n\nWomen’s Recovery is a non-profit association that is 
 dedicated to restoring women of all ages and circumstances to a life of 
 dignity and respect, free from the effects of substance abuse. It assists 
 women, girls, and their families in recovering from chemical dependency and 
 its secondary effects. WRA operations/programs are funded by the County of 
 San Mateo, foundations, corporations, clients, and individual

 (WRA)\nWRA is a 40 year old non profit organization (501c) providing 
 integrated, gender specific and gender responsive, recovery based, 
 cognitive behavioral treatment using a chronic care model in a broad 
 continuum of care. WRA offers residential and outpatient programs in six 
 sites, opening one of the first women’s residential program in 1970 at 
 Laurel House and today provides care to women, women and their children,
