 \n\nSOA Watch is a nonviolent grassroots movement that\nworks to stand in 
 solidarity with the people of Latin\nAmerica and the Caribbean, to close 
 the SOA/WHINSEC\nand to change oppressive U.S. foreign policy that the\nSOA 
 represents. \n\nPossible activities of the group:\nOrganizing a trip to 
 Fort Benning for November.  This\nis an annual protest that often attracts 
 tens of\nthousands of people, and which entails non-violent\ndirect action 
 against US foreign policy.\n\nOrganizing a Santa Cruz film screening to 
 inform\npeople about School of the Americas.\n\nBeginning a study and 
 research group on the activities\nof School of the Americas, along with 
 broader\nquestions about US foreign policy in Latin America.   
 \n\nOrganizing fundraising events to fund the trip to Fort\nBenning as well 
 as to support SOA activities in Latin\nAmerica.  \n\nThe first meeting is 
 Sunday June 22, 1pm at Cafe\nPergolesi.\n\n\n\n\n
