 A two-workshop series with Victor Cartagena & Joshua McDermott

 Intersection gallery August 15 & 16)\n\nVisual Design for Theater or Art 
 Installation\nTuesdays and Thursdays July 31; August 5, 7, 12, 14 & 
 19\n6–8pm\n$180 (for this workshop only) ($170 for Intersection 
 members)\nClick here to register>>\n\nLearn how to transform physical space 
 with your artistic vision. In this workshop you will use sculptural 
 materials and other media to modify environments, and create a complete 
 sensory experience. Students will combine new and old technologies, work 
 with readymade, found and specially created objects and media while 
 learning how to work within no and low budget scenarios.\n\n Victor 
 Cartagena was born in El Salvador, and has been making art in the Bay Area 
 since the late 80’s. He has exhibited at Southern Exposure, Palo Alto 
 Cultural Center, the University Art Museum at UC Berkeley, Galeria de la 
 Raza, New Langton Arts, Ampersand International Arts, Intersection, 
 Catharine Clark Gallery, Euphrat Museum, the Mission Cultural Center, 
 MACLA/Center for Latino Arts, and the Sonoma Museum of Visual Arts, among 
 others. In addition, Cartagena has created scenic and visual designs for 
 theatre for Campo Santo, Shadowlight, Soapstone and others.\n
