 and patient care workers have been negotiating to end poverty wages and 
 gain equal pay for equal work for the past 10 months. After 97% voted to 
 authorize a strike, the state labor board ordered the parties back to the 
 bargaining, claiming UC had more to offer. However, mediation has once 
 again ended and UC has failed to present fair proposals. We ask you for 
 your support in our week of action, particularly on Friday when UC Regents 
 and other executives will be in town for George Blumenthal's Inauguration
