 Oklahoma with wobbly self-esteem who is obsessed with death metal, Misty, 
 who is emerging from a life of meth-addiction, homelessness and gang 
 activity to play an instrument she’s never seen, and 8-year-old Amelia, 
 who writes songs about her Chihuahua Pippi and worries about not having any 
 friends. Given the opportunity to bash the drums, wail like a banshee and 
 take up space, the girls jettison gender stereotypes like old hats on their 
 way to a joyous final concert that will change their lives forever.\n\nThe
