DESCRIPTION:EARLIER TODAY (Monday, March 31st), dozens of Sheriffs carried out a raid 
 on D-Q University, ARRESTING 17 students, elders and supporters. One person 
 remains on campus, sitting up in a tree, out of the reach of officers. 
 Support is URGENTLY needed.\n\nEMERGENCY MEETING TONIGHT\n\n8:00pm at the 
 SRRC (Student Recruitment and Retention Center,\nUC Davis campus). Please 
 come and discuss how to support those arrested and carry on the struggle to 
 save D-Q University.\n\nD-Q was born of struggle in the 70's when people 
 occupied an abandoned Army facility and successfully retained it for the 
 purpose of providing education to Indigenous and Chicana people. The Board 
 of Trustees who legally preside over D-Q have become corrupt, betraying the 
 true purpose of D-Q and mismanaging finances. In 2005, D-Q lost its 
 accreditation and the Board declared the school to be shut down. Students 
 who disagree with the corrupt Board's directives have been occupying D-Q 
 university ever since, carrying on with classes, dedicated to holding the 
 school in the hands of all Indigenous peoples.\n\nSUPPORT D-Q 
 University\nCalifornia's only tribal University - a stronghold of
