 Berkeley City Council, along with the Peace and Justice Commission, 
 recently stepped up to the plate and took a strong stand for peace and 
 against Marine recruiting in our town.\n\nPro-war forces, incensed by our 
 stand against military recruiting, have attempted to force our City Council 
 to retract their stand and have organized counter protests.\n\nPeace-loving 
 forces in Berkeley and around the country, inspired by this courageous 
 stand and work to protect our youth and end war now, are also stepping up
