 will vote on the first step towards instituting a Port Trucking Policy. For 
 the past year, the Coalition for Clean and Safe Ports has been fighting for 
 a Clean Trucks Program that makes industry responsible for cleaning the 
 air, ends the “sweatshop on wheels” system, includes a local jobs 
 program, and makes drivers employees rather than independent contractors.
