 Repression”\n\nU.S. politicians and the corporate media never get tired 
 of repeating that the United States is the model of democracy for the whole 
 world to follow. But the U.S. has more people behind bars than any other 
 country. More than 2.2 million people—nearly all working class people and 
 the majority African American and Latino—are in jails or prisons here 
 today. Police murder and brutality is rampant, such as the case of Gary 
 King, Jr.,  brutally killed by an Oakland PD officer, Patrick Gonzales, in 
 September. Many well-known political prisoners, including Mumia Abu Jamal, 
 Leonard Peltier, the Jena 6, Cuban 5, San Francisco 8, Angola 3, Marilyn 
 Buck, Hugo Pinell, Mutulu Shakur, Jamil Al-Amin, Chip Fitzgerald, Sami 
 Al-Arian and others continue to be jailed and prosecuted by the U.S. 
 government. \n\nJoin us for a public meeting to learn more about these 
 cases and the struggle against racism and repression. \n\nFeaturing:\n-
