DESCRIPTION:COME SEE WHAT THE NEWS MEDIA DOESN'T SHOW YOU...\n\nOur campuses are
overflowing with literature and speakers about the\n Middle\nEast conflict.
But all too often, people and groups spend their time\n fighting for sole
ownership of history and suffering or choose to\n stand up\nfor their
"side" by attacking 'the other."\n\nWe've heard endless lectures and seen
editorials from politicians,\n professors, advocates and others. We know
the frustrations and\n critiques,\nbut what do average Israelis and average
Palestinians really think? Do\nthey want to end the conflict? Do they
share common ground?\n\nLeading OneVoice youth activists Palestinian Wafa
Nazzal Nazzal and\n Israeli Noga Ron will be speaking with YOU, their U.S.
counterparts,\nthroughout Northern California during the week of February 8
to 15th,\ngalvanizing support for their work in the Middle East and
giving\n students\n the opportunity to be part of the solution, rather than
part of the\nproblem.\n\nWafa and Noga will use their personal experiences
to shed light on\n several\nkey questions: Is the Palestinian-Israeli
conflict intractable? Can\n mainstream Israelis and Palestinians actually
agree on what they want\n the\nfuture of their region to look like? What
is the current pulse of the\nyoung generation and what are they doing to
make a difference?\n\n Tuesday, February 12\n7pm - UC Berkeley (Stephens
Lounge, MLK Jr. Student Union)\n\n\nFor more information on this or other
events, contact Laurel Rapp:\n \n The OneVoice Movement is a mass
grassroots movement in the Middle East\nthat empowers Palestinians and
Israelis to seize back the agenda for\nconflict resolution.\n\nFor more
