DESCRIPTION:I am a UC Berkeley student and I want to share information about an
exciting event at the Commonwealth Club of San Francisco. It is being put
on by the Inforum division of the Commonwealth Club, a division that caters
to people in their 20's and 30's. The event will include an important
discussion on the role of Iraq in US foreign policy. It will have several
speakers, including the author of Bitter Friends, Bosom Enemies, and will
be followed by a book signing and wine and cheese reception.\n\nThe heat is
rising and it's time to take a fresh look at our frenemy, Iran. \n\nIs Iran
the new Iraq in U.S. foreign policy? \nAre the people of Iran anti-U.S., or
is only the current regime? Is there an effective difference? \n\nAn
American journalist, an Iranian journalist and a professor of Iranian
culture, politics and history will help demystify Iran and lead us to a new
understanding of the future of our relationship with our neighbors in the
Middle East.\n\nBARBARA SLAVIN, Diplomatic Reporter, USA Today; Author,
Bitter Friends, Bosom Enemies\nABBAS MILANI, Director of Iranian Studies,
Hoover Institution, Stanford University\nJAMAL DAJANI, Director and
Producer of Middle Eastern Programming, Link Tv – Moderator\n\n6:00 p.m.,
