 2007Gather beginning: 9:30pm. Ceremony begins: 10:30PM Join the Center for 
 its annual New Year's Eve Ceremony in which we both release the old & 
 manifest the new for the coming year 2008 in the Gregorian calendar. After 
 a ritual for Renewal, we'll sit in meditation and then ring in the New Year 
 with 108 Bells. The significance of the number 108 originates in Buddhist 
 teachings, which specify 108 earthly desires which are the root of human 
 suffering. With each stroke of the bell, one of these desires is cast off, 
 and one's heart is purified in preparation for the new year. Then, let the 
 energy move you into our commUNITY drumming circle that will carry on until 
 no one is left drumming. No experience needed. You are welcome to play or 
 participate by just sitting in the circle, connecting to the collective 
 vibration.Please bring Drums & Percussion Instruments.Drinks & lite snacks
