DESCRIPTION:Come to a fun, informative, motivational meeting to learn how you can be
part of an historic campaign to outlaw some of the cruelest practices on
factory farms! \n\n\nSponsored by the Humane Society of the United States,
Californians for Humane Farms has launched a ballot campaign to require
that animals on farms are given enough room to be able to lie down, turn
around, stand up, and fully extend their limbs or wings. This sounds so
moderate, but it would be an enormous victory for the chickens, pigs, and
calves who are kept in such miserable conditions on factory farms.
\n\n\nOver 2000 volunteers all over the state are gathering signatures for
this campaign, and we have just 3 more months to gather over 500,000
signatures! We need everyone who cares about animals to get involved in
this initiative, to gather signatures from friends and family, to gather
signatures from the general public, to research events, make phone calls,
increase publicity, and take other actions to support this campaign.
\n\n\nJoin us to learn more about the campaign, to meet other volunteers
who care about this, to get materials, and to be inspired to make a
 difference! \n\n\nEmail sarah@santacruzspca.org to RSVP. \n\nRSVPs are
appreciated, though you are still welcome if you don't RSVP! \n\nEven if
you can't make it to any of these events, we absolutely still need you to
volunteer, and we can fill you in on everything you miss at the event. Go
to www.humanecalifornia.org to sign up to volunteer or to find out more.
You can also call us at our San Francisco office at 415-772-0952 or reply
to this email. \n\nThank you for caring! \n \n\n\n\n
