 prisoner. He recently produced and directed the documentary “The Legacy 
 of Torture: the War Against the Black Liberation Movement,” which 
 features interviews with many of the San Francisco 8. The Freedom Archives 
 contain 8000 hours of audio and video recordings documenting social justice 
 movements locally, nationally, and internationally from the 1960s to the 
 present. \n\nModeled after one of the most popular courses ever taught at 
 Harvard, Activist Lives is a  course open to the public will bring some of 
 the most original and successful activists of our day into conversation 
 with students and others to explore how an engaged, compassionate, 
 transformative life is possible.\n\n
