 of the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra is to bring the immediacy and 
 intimacy of music for small orchestra and chamber ensemble to audiences of

 around the Bay Area. Through presenting classical, contemporary, and 
 commissioned works, Family Concerts, and outreach programs, the SFCO hopes 
 to educate and enlighten the next generation of music lovers.  \n\nFounded 
 in April 1953, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra has been led by Benjamin 
 Simon since 2002.  Infusing the organization with a renewed energy and 
 commitment to excellence, the SFCO has regained its place among the top
