DESCRIPTION:Help SHUT DOWN the new Marine military recruiting station in Berkeley – 
 Join Grandmothers for Peace, CodePINK, and others every Tuesday in November 
 from 1:30-3:30p.m. as we stand in front of the Marine Recruiting 
 Station.\n\nHand out flyers, get petitions signed, talk with those in 
 danger of being recruited; go inside and talk with those doing the 
 recruiting. \n\nBe a presence for peace and against the recruitment of our 
 youth!\n\nThis is part of our ”How Berkeley Can U BE” in front of the 
 Marine Recruiting Station \n\nActions continue (when YOU are there!) every 
 week day 7:30a.m. until 5:00p.m. in front of the horrific recruiting 
 station as the people of Berkeley hold on-going classes, breastfeeding 
 playgroup for peace, circus acts, music and poetry, art installations. Hold 
 your meetings, parties, book readings - anything that says "THIS is what we 
 want in Berkeley: NOT the military recruitment of our youth"\n\nDo not 
 hesitate - there is a bag of flyers, petitions, banners, signs waiting for 
 you inside the People's Cafe across the street from the station. Bring a 
 friend or two, go by yourself. Just BE there! You COULD save a life 
 today!\n\nCall 510-524-2776 if you want to participate, whether it is to 
 ‘bottom-line’ your own action or event; or to join an existing 
 action/event. \n\nFolks who are not able to stop by during the day, go by 
 in the eve or morning and chalk the side walks, leave flowers & peaceful 
 messages, create peace installations on the sidewalks, or in any other 
 creative way express your desire to have the station SHUT DOWN before the

 recruiter and ask them to honor the Mandate for Peace the citizens of 
 Berkeley have instituted since before the invasion of Iraq. \n\nTogether we
