DESCRIPTION:Movies on a Big Screen is back with a new venue!! \n\nLocation: 600 4th
St in West Sacramento. Corner of 4th & F (in WEST Sacramento, not
Sacramento). This is *just* over the river near the Pyramid Building.
Parking lot (which is lit) is just off of F St between 4th & 5th. It's a
huge gray building taking up about half the block. And this venue is all
thanks to local eco-urban developers LJ Urban! If you don't know them,
check 'em out at http://www.ljurban.com - and check their blog while you're
there!\n\nSeating is mostly on folding chairs - feel free to bring a pillow
or cushion - or even your own chair. Digital projection on to a large
screen.\n\nAdmission: $5.00\n\n11/16/07\n\nYou Think You Really Know Me:
The Gary Wilson Story\nIn 1977, Gary Wilson recorded his bizarrely
brilliant album, "You Think You Really Know Me." In performance, he played
his jazz/rock/sound-collage masterpieces while clad in just his underwear,
or wrapped in duct tape, writhing on stage and destroying female
mannequins. Then, suddenly, he simply vanished - leaving friends and fans
mystified. This documentary explores the life, disappearance and re-birth
of a funny and fierce American original.\n\n“Indie-rock enthusiasts will
find much to appreciate. Gary Wilson and the Blind Dates, as his band was
known, do for used-record stores what R. Crumb and Harvey Pekar do for used
comic-book stores.” - The New York Times \n\n“Welcome to the peculiar
world of Gary Wilson. Outrageous… Fascinating…" - New York
Post\n\n"This low-key doc about lost-and-found Other Music cult hero Gary
Wilson so sweetly underplays its hand that even the most jaundiced skeptics
of Jandek worship come out simply rooting for the safe passage of town
weirdos everywhere.” - Village Voice\n\n"A fascinating chapter in pop
music history. The performance footage is particularly arresting." -
 Hollywood Reporter\n\nMore info at
