 who was working as custodian\nin-charge of three 110-story stairwells in 
 the North\nTower of the World Trade Center on the day it was\ndestroyed, 
 and who personally saved fifteen others\nfrom certain death, will share his 
 harrowing\nexperience of the 9-11 tragedy at a special\npresentation, 
 Thursday, November 1st at 7 pm, at the\nGrand Lake Theater, 3200 Grand 
 Avenue in Oakland,\nCalifornia. He will also explain his 
 deep\ndisappointment with what he describes as serious\ninadequacies in the 
 final report by the 9-11\nCommission.\n \nAt the White House on five 
 occasions and\nrecognized as a “National Hero” by the Senate of\nPuerto 
 Rico, William Rodriguez, in possession of a\nmaster key to all of the 
 stairwell doors at each floor\nin the 110 story building that day, 
 personally saved\nthe lives of 15 people and aided NYC firefighters 
 in\nsaving hundreds of others. \n \nRodriguez has used his recognition as 
 one of the true\nheroes of that tragic day to help draft and 
 pass\nlegislation on behalf of victim’s family members and\nsurvivors, to 
 help raise millions of dollars for the\nvictims of 9/11 and their families, 
 to bring attention\nto the health concerns of thousands of 
 first\nresponders, now sick with "Ground Zero Syndrome," and\nto lobby for 
 the creation of the 9/11 Commission.\n \nThough he advocated for the 
 creation of the 9-11\nCommission and testified before the commission 
 members\n-- his private testimony before the Commission was\nexcluded from 
 its final report ­ Rodriguez is now\nraising questions about what he 
 describes as serious\ngaps in the official story and is calling for 
 a\ndeeper, more energetic and international based\ninvestigation into every 
 possible aspect, failure and\ncontributing circumstance leading to the 
 tragedy.\n \nFor nearly twenty years, the Puerto Rican-born, New\nJersey 
 resident worked in the North Tower. On an\nalmost daily basis, Rodriguez 
 met with co-workers for\nbreakfast in the famous 106th floor Restaurant 
 in\nTower #1 of the World Trade Center. Nearly two hundred\npeople, 
 including most of William's friends, were in\nthe restaurant on the morning 
 of September 11. None\nsurvived. \n \nOther guest speakers include Peter 
 Dale Scott, author\nof several books including ‘Deep Politics And 
 The\nDeath of JFK’ and the recently published, ‘The Road to\n9/11: 
 Wealth, Empire, and the Future of America’, and\nintroductions will be 
 made by Cindy Sheehan.\n \nThe event is a benefit for the Northern 
 California\n9/11 Truth Alliance. $10 tickets include a reception 
 for\nWilliam and leaders of the truth, peace, justice,\nimpeachment 
 movements following William's presentation.\nEndorsers include Veterans for
