 Buckman, at the helms ye'ole e-mail list. You may ask yourself, "WHAT? Is 
 the Santa Cruz Poetry Slam back in swing? IS IT BACK?" NAY!!!! With the 
 death of the E3 Playhouse, so went the steam that carried the hot air of 
 the slam, but rest assured I can do ya one better.\n\nThere were a few 
 freaks who frequented the SC Poetry Slam...regulars. Well they have joined 
 forces and have decided to stage a verbal hugging fest. They are here to 
 assault your senses with cuddly puffy puffs that titillate and inspire. D 
 Scott, Shimmy, Matt Jones, and Elliott Kuhn are joining as one savage 
 poetic beast to form the boy band of boy bands, Slow Children 
 (http://www.slowchildrencollective.com).\n\nThis Thursday Slow Children 
 will be FEATURING at the UCSC Poetry Slam (Kinetic Poetics). They will be 
 bringing the hot coffee as it were. The slam is held at the infamous 
 Fireside Lounge at Cowell College. Bring a loved one and snuggle up with 
 some life on the side.\n\nFRIDAY! The Slow Chitlins' will be performing at 
 the Mad Cow Slam at the new artist haven, The Tannery. This is a new event 
 and the boys have been invited to come scrape the stage with unapologetic 
 presence...Please enjoy. A flyer is attached for this event so check it out
