 microwaves, fax machines and other electronic machinery can be disposed of 
 this weekend during "E-Waste Weekend" at the Marin County 
 Fairgrounds.\n\nResidents can bring in their obsolete electronic equipment 
 to be recycled by Electronic Recyclers, the largest "e-waste" recycler in 
 the state.\n\n"Despite the fact that we collected 180,000 pounds of e-trash 
 last April, we are confident there is a lot more equipment out there 
 collecting dust in garages, attics and offices," said Jim Farley, county 
 director of cultural and visitor service.\n\nIt is illegal to throw away 
 such items in the trash.\n\nThe event is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 
 Sunday at the fairgrounds, off Avenue of the Flags in San Rafael.\n\n\n
