DESCRIPTION:\n\nPangs Theater Ensemble, a growing performance company recently featured
in the Chronicle, the Examiner, KQED Podcasts, and other media in the Bay
Area and beyond, presents Molière’s Don Juan, a classic comedy with
modern sensibilities, reinaugurating Golden Gate Park’s Bunny Meadow
(prior venue of Shakespeare in the Park) as a San Francisco cultural and
performance venue. \n\nWitty and charming, Molière’s Don Juan tells a
story with current relevance. It depicts a man driven by hedonism,
immorality, and the pursuit of pleasure at all costs. Unrepentant and set
on his licentious course, Don Juan maintains his anti-moralist stance even
when it endangers his own welfare. In this play, Molière dares to
speculate at the ultimate fate of one of the beautiful, privileged,
self-indulgent, and rich. \n\nPangs Theater’s Don Juan is directed by
Pangs Theater Ensemble’s Artistic Director Wolfgang Thompson, who has
received significant press in the recent year for his modern performance
pieces and for his intense and physical style of direction.\n\nDon Juan
stars Jesse Mueller as Don Juan, Matt Monaco as Sganarelle, Megan Lane as
Charlotte, Emily Rued as Elvire, Christine Gwillim as Mathurine, Jack
Halton as Monsieur Dimanche, Joe Carrig as Don Alonse and the Statue of the
Commander, Joe Bardellini as Don Luis and Gusman, Patrick Biggs as Don
Carlos and Pierrot, Tiffany Chamberlain as the Spectre, La Violette/Ragotin
and Understudy for Elvire, Joan Diez Niebot as Ragotin/La Violette and
Attendant, and features Remi Barron as the Poor Man and La Ramee.\n\nDates
 and Locations:	\nTwo weekends, October 6, 7, 13, and 14 at 1 p.m. \nIn San
Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, in Bunny Meadow (aka Casino Meadow), former
venue of Shakespeare in the Park, right next to the Conservatory of
Flowers. \n\nAdmission: \nAdmission is free with a suggested donation of
$20. \nPicnicking is welcome. \n\nFor more information, the public may
