 Kerns - Tenor/Composer  \nDr. Bryan Baker - Pianist/Conductor  
 \n\nPresented in an intimate new venue for the performing arts in the 
 \nDiamond Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, PS2007 is \nan evening of 
 classic and new opera. Works from Mozart, Wagner, \nVerdi, Puccini and 
 Strauss will be paired with the San Francisco \npremiere of selections from 
 Mr. Kerns’ new opera “Imajica – Part 1 – \nAwakening,” based on 
 the novel Imajica by Clive Barker.  Romantic \nyet contemporary, this work 
 is exciting in scope, lush in color, and full \nof challenging ideas and 
 thrilling images of five Dominions (Earth being \nonly one), and the forces 
 attempting to unite them in communion or rip \nthem apart into chaos and 
 darkness.\n\n\nPerformance Showcase, now in its third year of presenting 
 arts\nperformances, was the inspiration of three members of St. Aidan’s: 
 \ntelevision producer and writer Dee LaDuke, dance & event producer \nDoug 
 Baird, and writer Darlene Frank. After a recent renovation, the \ntrio was 
 struck by the church building’s wonderful acoustics and its\npotential as 
 an intimate performance space. They conceived a vision \nof a new venue 
 that would offer artists in the Bay Area a much-needed \noption for 
 affordable performance space and provide audiences in \nDiamond Heights and 
 surrounding neighborhoods with the opportunity \nto experience performing 
 arts close to home. Performance Showcase \nhas presented opera, spoken 
 word, new music and contemporary
