DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday, September 4 at 7:00 p.m., there will be an Activists' 
 Roundtable Discussion entitled “Army of None: Strategies to Counter 
 Military Recruitment, End War, and Build a Better World” at the Community 
 Media Center in Palo Alto.\n\nThe panelists will include:\nDavid Solnit – 
 Anti-war, global justice and arts activist, main coordinator for 1999 WTO 
 protests in Seattle and 2003 protests in San Francisco the day after Iraq 
 was invaded. \nAimee Allison – Army veteran, community 
 counter-recruitment coordinator. \nPaul George - Director, Peninsula Peace 
 and Justice Center\nand the live studio audience.\n\nUniformed U.S. Army 
 Officers lunch with students in elementary school cafeterias. Army training 
 programs including rifle and pistol instruction replace physical education 
 in middle schools. Like never before, military recruiters are entering the 
 halls of U.S. schools with unchecked access in an attempt to bolster a 
 military in crisis. Today, the counter recruitment movement has become one 
 of the most practical ways to tangibly resist U.S. policy that cuts funding 
 for education and social programs while promoting war and 
 occupation.\n\nStreaming video of the program will be available at 
 www.peaceandjustice.org approximately three days after the initial 
 broadcast.\n\n“Other Voices” is broadcast on Mid-Peninsula Community 
 Media cable TV Channel 27 throughout September, available in Palo Alto, 
 East Palo Alto, Stanford, Menlo Park, Atherton and nearby areas of Santa
