DESCRIPTION:In just one week, Afro Venezuelan group ELEGUA will be here in the Bay. 
 Here are the updates for their first (2)two performances on Tuesday July 
 17th and Wednesday July 18th. \n\nTuesday's performance will be @ the 
 Oakland Museum's James Moore Theatre / 8PM . Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums has 
 declared Tuesday July 17th, 2007  African Diaspora Arts and Culture Day. 
 There will be a reception in honor of the several master living locally,  
 who make up the African Diaspora artistic community, just  prior to the 
 performance @ the Oakland Museum, if you are interested in attending RSVP

 be Elegua's special guest on that nite. They are in town from Santurce,

 Cultural Center. They were gracious to donate the space for the 
 performance. In commemoration of their 30th anniversary all monies raised 
 that nite will be donated to MCC. For the MCC performance, Elegua's special 
 guest will be  Destiny the Harpist accompanied by Sista Tereka on Violin 
 and Mestre Timba & Capoeira Ngola Preto Belh which translates to Old Black 
 Spirits.  \n\nSo what ever side of the Bay you live on you can see and meet 
 these dynamic women and experience these (2) two unprecedented nites of 
 African Latino cultural expressions!  \n\n
