DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nThis Friday we challenge the draconian Santa Cruz laws prohibiting 
 the\nnighttime use of nearly all outdoor public space.  Only in 
 America\nwould we think to close public gathering places after dark. In 
 other\ncountries, public spaces are where people spend their evenings, 
 hanging\nout with friends, flirting, playing, drinking, singing, dancing. 
 If we\nwant to maintain a healthy connected community, we are going to have 
 to\ndraw people away from their televisions out of the malls into 
 the\nnight, to public places where people can talk and picnic and dance 
 and\nlook at the stars. \n\n\nSanta Cruz Guerilla Drive-In 
 Presents\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Matrix or\nMinority Report\n\n\n\n\nChallenging the 
 laws that make public space off limits after sunset, we\nreturn to our 
 controversial spot under the Soquel Bridge. We're showing\na huge 
 blockbuster with the hope of enticing large numbers of\nmoviegoers. Our two 
 choices are Minority Report and The\nMatrix, but we can't decide between 
 them, so it may be viewer's\nchoice. Note, if there is anything even 
 remotely resembling a tie, the\nhost will cast the deciding vote, and she 
 is definitely voting for The\nMatrix.\n \n\nFriday\nJuly 6th, 8:30 
 pm\nSoquel Ave Bridge, Santa Cruz\n\n(Where Soquel Avenue crosses the San 
 Lorenzo River\nby the Royal Taj Indian Restaurant)\n\n\n\nPLUS\nthrilling 
 and funny short films, an intermission, and great company.\n\n\nBRING lawn 
 chairs,\nblankets, pillows, friends, wine, & food\nto share for 
 intermission. Donations are greatly appreciated and\ndirectly support the 
 project. (We are currently saving to get a spare\nprojector 
 bulb.)\n\n\nSANTA CRUZ GUERILLA DRIVE-IN is an outdoor movie theater under 
 the\nstars that springs up unexpectedly in the fields and 
 industrial\nwastelands. Beyond showing great movies and bringing a broad 
 community\ntogether, part of our mission is helping reclaim public space 
 and\ntransforming our urban environment into the joyful playground it
