DESCRIPTION:My name is Brenda, I am one a youth organizers at \nUC Berkeley RISE 
 (Rising Immigrant Scholars through Education). I am also \npart of the CA 
 Dream DREAM Team, a statewide effort to organize \nuniversity AB540 
 students across the state. As was \nmentioned yesterday, we are organizing 
 a "Student Fast for Immigration \nReform" in collaboration with university 
 students across the state.  There \nwill be a week-long fast in front of 
 Nancy Pelosi's office \nfrom July 2nd- July 9th as well as a caravan coming 
 up state and picking up \nother individuals fasting to join the San 
 Francisco fast. \n\nWe need your \nhelp! \n\nBecause we are a student group 
 and not a community group our \noutreach and connections are very limited. 
 We need the support of the \ncommunity to make this fast a success and to 
 send a clear and loud \nmessage: we need a comprehensive immigration 
 reform! \n\nHow can you help? \n\n1.Come to an organizing meeting today 
 June 20th 2424 Haste St. Apt. \nC-12Berkeley, CA 94704. 510-684-2225. @ 7pm 
 . \n\n2.Can you commit to taking part in the week-long fast from July 2nd 
 –July \n9th? \n\n3.Can you provide materials that will educate the public 
 about immigrant \nissues? \n\n4.Can you be a speaker? Or know of people 
 such as community leaders, \nelected officials, or parents that would like 
 to speak in the daily \nprogram? [tentative program is attached] \n\n5.Can 
 your organization endorse the fast? [flyer is attached] \n\n6.Can you help 
 with the media outreach? \n\n7.Can you help by providing medical attention 
 to the people who are \nfasting? Or know of someone that can? \n\n8.Can you 
 help us posting, distributing, or e-mailing the flyers? \n\n9.Do you have 
 access to amplified sound equipment such as speakers, \nmicrophones?
