DESCRIPTION:While Congress votes for war, Students "March for\nPeace” – walking 
 every step of over 3000 miles across\nthe U.S.!\nMonday, May 21st at 
 11:00am \nCivic Center across from City Hall steps in San\nFrancisco\nKick 
 off rally and press event as marchers begin their\njourney\n\nAs 
 anniversaries of the illegal war in Iraq tick by\nyear after year, a small 
 group of students will take\nan incredible stand against continued war 
 and\noccupation in the Middle East. A half dozen students\nhave planned an 
 unprecedented and courageous march\nfrom SF to DC – all on foot!    Bay 
 area Community\nmembers will walk with the marchers on the first leg\nof 
 their determined and inspired journey.  \n\nMarchers and supporters will 
 gather at Civic Center\nplaza across from San Francisco City hall at 11 am 
 on\nMonday to gather momentum for the march, which will\nkick off at noon.  
 During this time, the student\nmarchers will be available for 
 interview.\n\nA large rally is planned in Omaha, Nebraska to mark\nthe 
 march midpoint.  The organizers state:  “We are\norganizing a march 
 across the United States over the\nsummer of 2007 to raise awareness about 
 the need for\npeace and to unite people in a discussion of how we\ncan take

 with\nmarchers to publicize their actions, as well as to\nhelp hook them up 
 with peace and justice groups along\ntheir route. The local Bay Area
