DESCRIPTION:Flooding, a drop in tomato yield and the spread of\nterrorism are all big
concerns for Woodland. They are\nalso expected outcomes of climate change.
Too often,\nconcern for climate change is written off as a\nliberal, Davis
kind of worry. Yet, we are urged to\naction by groups as diverse as the
Pope and dozens of\nother evangelical and mainstream churches,
General\nMotors and General Sullivan (retired Army Chief of\nStaff), and
Ducks Unlimited. Of course, the Mayor of\nBerkeley backs has stepped up,
but so have the mayors\nof less-liberal places like West
 Sacramento,\nSacramento, Stockton, Tulare, Vallejo, and Fresno.\n\n \nYou
are invited to join us for a live slideshow and\ndiscussion of a Yolo
County specific version of An\nInconvenient Truth. We can talk about what
this means\nto our town and our children's future, this Friday,\nMay 18th,
in the Public Library's Leake Room, from\n7:00 to 8:15. (There will be
door prizes and light\nrefreshments, too). For more
information,\ndocumentation of the statements in the first\nparagraph, or
if you would like to RSVP, e-mail\nWarmerWoodland@yahoo.com.\n
