DESCRIPTION:Announcing the first film of the Guerilla Drive-In Summer Series and the 
 last film of the Reel Work Labor Film Festival!  Woowoo!  We'll be outside 
 again at our old summer railroad tracks locations.  We'll have the new 
 summer schedules there.  It's going to be a great GDI summer with lots of 
 variety and surprises!\n\nIn the midst of the Spanish Civil\nWar in 
 Barcelona, 1936, militia women\nfully immersed in the overall enthusiasm of 
 revolutionary Spain find\nthemselves confronting deep gender inequality 
 which complicates their\nefforts in the war against Francisco Franco’s 
 fascist forces. \nLibertarias is a Spanish historical drama, made in 1996, 
 and released\ninternationally in 2004. \n\nPLUS\nan\nintermission, urban 
 wasteland, and great\ncompany.  \n\n\nBRING\nlow folding 
 chairs,\nblankets, pillows, friends, food & drink\nto share 
 for\nintermission. Donations are greatly appreciated and directly 
 support\nthe project. \n\nSANTA\nCRUZ GUERILLA DRIVE-IN\nis an outdoor 
 movie theater under the\nstars that springs up in the fields and 
 industrial\nwastelands.  Beyond showing great movies and bringing a broad 
 community\ntogether, part of our mission is helping reclaim public space 
 and\ntransforming our urban environment into a joyful playground.\n\nREEL 
 WORK FILM FESTIVAL is a labor-oriented film festival\noffering a wide range 
 of work experiences, from mining to being fired. \n\nIn\nits fifth year, 
 the film festival is an all-volunteer-organized event. \nReel Work is 
 proud to bring together films, labor unionists, and\nmembers of\nthe public 
 to promote social justice activism and international\nsolidarity.
