 the majority of the population lives on $1 a day or less. Everywhere 
 African people have been dispersed throughout the world, they face poverty 
 and oppression as a result of 600 years of slavery and colonialism. The 
 solution is one Africa in the hands of African working people. The Uhuru 
 Art Auction will raise funds for the movement that is bringing together 
 African people and developing programs by and for African people to 
 transform their reality for a prosperous, healty future for African people
