DESCRIPTION:Regional Gathering of Farms Not Arms on Sunday, May 6th at 9AM at the 
 Swanton Berry Farm Stand, 2 miles north of Davenport on Hwy. 1.\n\nWar 
 destroys people, ruins farmland, and wastes resources that could be going 
 into feeding our global citizens and caring for the environment, preserving 
 it for future generations. Real security begins with strong, diverse, local 
 food production. Farms Not Arms is working with existing groups to support 
 those projects that promote a safer and more peaceful world by working to 
 fight hunger and promote food sovereignty, fair trade and social justice. 
 To that end, Farms Not Arms has embarked on the following projects-\n\n ·  
       Aligning with veterans groups to make available employment on 
 American farms for the war weary and injured veterans returning from Iraq 
 and Afghanistan. \n\n ·        Connecting with and supporting farmers at 
 home and abroad affected by war and its aftermath.\n\n ·        
 Encouraging local marketing as well as supporting the growing bio-fuel 
 industry.\n\nPlease join us on Sunday to learn more about Farms Not Arms 
 and plan how we can take these important steps to resist the war and build 
 community security right here at home. If you are unable to join us on 
 Sunday, you can plug into Farms Not Arms in the following ways-\n\n¨
