 covers the first half of the book and candid group discussion of the issues 
 it raises. After reading the second half of this book, Part 2 opens 
 discussion to concrete steps toward taking responsibility for a privileged 
 class experience while working toward social change. Finally, in Part 3 we 
 join to discuss lifting the book’s insights from the pages and putting

 to spotlight in out Event Calendar and Press Release. For the duration of 
 May and June, Modern Times will be collecting money to donate towards the 
 activities of PODER: People Organizing to Demand Environmental and Economic 
 Rights.\n\nPODER is a grassroots, environmental justice organization based 
 in San Francisco’s Mission District. PODER’s mission is to organize 
 with Mission residents to work on local solutions to issues facing low 
 income communities and communities of color. PODER believes that 
 improvements to our neighborhood must be made through collective social 
 action to bring about social, economic and environmental justice.\n\n\n
