DESCRIPTION:Americans across the country are more concerned than ever about our
direction in Iraq. Now is the time for Congress to force a change.\n\nOn
March 19th, thousands of us from organizations across the movement will
gather together to observe the fourth anniversary of the war through
candlelight vigils. We’ll solemnly honor the sacrifice made by more than
3,000 servicemen and women, and we'll contemplate the path ahead of us. We
cannot send tens of thousands of exhausted, under-equipped, and unprepared
troops into the middle of an Iraqi civil war.\n\nJoin us at a candlelight
vigil on Monday, March 19th. Honor the sacrifice. Stop the escalation.

Mar 07:00 PM End the War Vigil \nAlameda City Hall\n1 registered
 participant(s) \n2263 Santa Clara\nAlameda, CA 94501\nDescription Alameda
Peace Network has decided to hold a vigil on Monday evening, March 19th,
from 7 to 8 pm in front of City Hall, to protest the 4th anniversary of the
invasion and occupation of Iraq and the unnecessary and wasteful deaths of
Americans and Iraqis in these four years, with more to come. We know that
many of you may have gone to Walnut Creek, to San Francisco, to Lafayette,
to Oakland, to protest the war. However, we believe that every community in
the United States, no matter how small, should stand up and say NO.
Therefore, we believe that Alameda, also, should take it’s place in that
pantheon of resistance. We hope you will come and bring a candle. It is
just a moment in our lives, as Alamedans, to show that we, too, are against
the continuation of the death and destruction we have brought to the Middle
 East.\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2007/03/18/18378602.php
