 family, descendants of enslaved Africans who reside on islands near South 
 Carolina and Georgia.  Their Gullah culture was maintained through 
 resistance to the white power system.  \n\nJoin the Uhuru Solidarity 
 Movement! \n\nNo longer can we be passive as white people in a system based 
 on slavery and genocide and the ongoing oppression of African and 
 indigenous peoples.  NOW is the time to actively support the growing 
 movement for the unification and liberation of Africa, challenging the
