 the week on Monday with more than 100 people present,\ndespite the rain and 
 cold. Speakers who have expressed their support include members\nfrom labor 
 and the faith community, allies from the African American 
 community,\nadvocates for the homeless, youth and Wednesday afternoon we 
 were joined by laid-off\nworkers from Monster Cable Company who made the 
 connection between immigrant and\nworkers rights and the rights of all 
 families to not be separated.\n\nMore than 13,000 individuals have been 
 detained by ICE since late January. We have\nheard stories of individuals 
 who are fearful to leave their homes to attend school\nor go to work. Maria 
 Jimenez, director of Mujeres Unidas y Activas, said it\nperfectly on 
 Wednesday: "We keep the economy thriving, we take care of 
 children,\nharvest crops, build houses, but we are afraid to go to the 
 store.  We are living in\nfear."\n\nThat fear turns into outrage and 
 action, which is what we are witnessing this week\nthroughout the Bay Area. 
 Our representatives need to know what's happening in our\ncommunities. Call 
 Speaker Nancy Pelosi, let her know you support the week of action\nand ask 
 her to leverage her power as Speaker of the House to stop the ICE raids 
 from\ncontinuing until we have a comprehensive fix to our immigration
