DESCRIPTION:Hubert Morel-Seytoux and Rich Watters, Co-Directors of Health Care for
All's Mid-Peninsula Chapter, will discuss "Critical Condition: Health Care
in the U.S. and the Efforts to Reform It" \n\nHealth care reform—so
desperately needed in this country—is finally back on the national
political agenda. It looks like it will even be a major issue in the
coming Presidential elections. But that doesn’t mean we’ll get health
care for everyone.\n\nDuring this month’s forum, we’ll review the
national proposals for reform. We’ll also take a look at California
Governor Schwarzenegger’s recent proposal and compare it to the universal
care system which passed the state legislature last year, only to be vetoed
by the Governor. And we’ll learn about the continuing grassroots efforts
to effect real change. Bring your questions, your comments, and your
commitment to move this agenda.\n\nThe program will be broadcast and
webcast live on Mid-Peninsula Community Media Cable Channel 27 and
rebroadcast throughout March as part of the ongoing "Other Voices"
television series produced by Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.\n\n
