DESCRIPTION:Socrates denied that there was knowledge to be learned from a tree! Is this
so?\n\nThe Salon in the Grove offers a place and time to discuss the
meaning and implications of the tree-sitting protest. Guests and
tree-sitters will participate in the salon, which will include discussions,
games and experiential lessons learned from the tree sitters and the
trees.\n\nIn the first session of the Salon, the tree-sitters will tell
their\nstories of living alone in the trees, protecting the trees. We
will\nexamine those experiences and perspectives as an evolution
of\nconsciousness.\n\nThe first Salon will be lead by:\n\n! Laura K. Brown,
Ph.D., the Salon host, will put the stories of the\ntree-sitters in the
context of Metaformic Theory, that suggests a\nmethodology for the
transformation of consciousness.\n\n! Jean Mudge, Ph.D. will highlight the
tree stories from the\nperspective of Emerson and Thoreau.\n\nFor
information or to be included in the program, contact Laura by email:
 lkaybrown@hotmail.com or 510 548 3609, or Jean Mudge at 510 548 7268 or
jeanmudge@comcast.net. Laura and Jean are also looking for participants for
 future salons.\n\n
