DESCRIPTION:Friday 2/16: Let Me Be Your Band \n\nLocation: Fools Foundation - 1025 19th
St. Off of K St, between 19th and 20th, next to the back-end of Old
Spaghetti Factory. 7:00 PM. Admission: $5.00.\n\nSee what wows Bowie,
tunes in Beck and inspires the Cramps. It's a heart-pumping plunge off a
curvy West Virginian highway that leads to the infamous
One-Man-Rockabilly-Wild-Man, Hasil Adkins. From Bob Log III, former bus
driver turned punk infused Delta Blues band, to Washboard Hank performing
on his kitchen-sink tuba, all of the One-Man-Bands documented are
undoubtedly the best at what they do, for the simple reason that they are
the only ones who can do what they do! Eric Royer's self-built 5-piece Blue
Grass band is a long way from his early days playing punk music with Rob
Zombie... or is it? Come hear the forbidden rhythms of the Lonesome
Organist, Mayor Mc Ca, and the Mysterious Asthmatic Avenger. Witness the
world's only One-Man-One-Woman band and be blown away by the King Louie
hurricane of sound. Very, very cool. Come see this, then make the 3-4
block walk to 22nd & J to see if Sacto's own local one man band is over
there (he almost always is) and luxuriate in his Acoustic Sanctuary!\n\nWe
are doing regular weekly film screenings with Fools Foundation on Fridays
at 7 PM and Sundays at 3 PM - most are $5 (unless otherwise noted in
advance), and will have filmmakers out from time to time. \n\n\nYou can
always check http://www.shiny-object.com/screenings/\n\nTo get on our email
 list, send an email to:\nsacto_screenings-subscribe@shiny-object.com\nor,
to communicate with an actual human: \nscreenings@shiny-object.com\n\n
