DESCRIPTION:Come to an organizing meeting for the Oakland Campaign to End the\nDeath 
 Penalty chapter. We will discuss updates around the Kevin\nCooper case, 
 recent lethal injection decisions and making plans for upcoming spring 
 events.\n\nOn January 9 we had 75 supporters of Kevin Cooper pack into the 
 San Francisco District Courthouse to hear oral arguments about why 
 he\ndeserves a new trial. Despite our efforts the judges, who were 
 not\neven physically in attendance, seemed to brush over the evidence 
 that\nKevin is an innocent man. We will be talking about next steps on 
 our\nside to help fight for Kevin's life and other ideas for building 
 a\nstruggle around the death penalty. Now that California has a\nmoratorium 
 on executions it is even more critical that we step up our\nfight to keep 
 the death penalty from ever coming back. Join us for\nupdates and
