DESCRIPTION:It's holiday time... . time to remember our friends in prison during the
\nSHAC 7 Days of Christmas! \n\nThere's nothing like being a prisoner
during the holidays. While we're \nstocking up on Tofurkeys with all the
trimmings, buying and making gifts, \nand spending time with loved ones,
the SHAC 7 are behind bars and unable to \nparticipate in any of the
festivities we get to enjoy. Let's let them \nknow that they're not
forgotten! \n\nThat SHAC 7 Support Committee invites everyone to
participate in a festive \nSHAC 7 Days of Christmas Celebration. From
Monday December 11th through \nSunday December 17th we'll count down with
you the days leading into \nChristmas week, with daily suggestions of small
ways you can help Jake, \nDarius, Lauren, Josh, Kevin, and Andy feel a
little less lonely this \nholiday season. We'll post updates and resources
on SHAC7.com to keep \neveryone in the loop, and to keep it FUN! \n\nIt
goes like this... . \n\nDecember 11- On the first day of Christmas, the
SHAC 7 said to me, "It'd be \ngreat to get pictures- nice, inspiring, or
funny!" \n\nDecember 12- On the second day of Christmas, the SHAC 7 said to
you, "Would \nyou please send us a card or two?" \n\nDecember 13- On the
third day of Christmas, the SHAC 7 said to me, "Getting \na book or
magazine would make us so happy!" \n\nDecember 14- On the fourth day of
Christmas, the SHAC 7 really meant, \n"Please have a donation to our
support fund sent!" \n\nDecember 15- On the first day of Christmas, the
 SHAC 7 said to me, \n"Organize a letter-writing party!" \n\nDecember 16- On
the sixth day of Christmas, the SHAC 7'd like to hear, \n"Organize an
event, kick injustice in the rear!" \n\nDecember 17- On the seventh day of
Christmas, the SHAC 7 gave a clue, "Keep \nfighting and send some good
 news!" \n\nIn layman's terms (for all you non-xmas-song types), \n\nDay 1-
Mail the SHAC 7 folks a picture or two to brighten their holiday. \nNo
polaroids, but usually computer prints and normal size photos are
\nacceptable (tip- write their name and prisoner ID# on the back so they
\ndon't get lost). \n\nDay 2- Buy or make cards for the SHAC 7. Add a note
inside and get 'em in \nthe mail (don't forget not to send anything with
glue, stickers, or \ngel-pen). \n\nDay 3- Check out the wishlists or
contact the individual support contacts \nfor info about how to buy a book
or magazine subscription for the SHAC7 \nprisoners. \n\nDay 4- Donate to
the SHAC 7 fund (www.shac7.com for details). Try to \ncollect a few dollars
from everyone you know, add in what you can afford, \nand send it off to
help make things a little less hard for the SHAC 7. \n\nDay 5- Organize a
letter-writing party. Consider the upcoming weekend- \neasy enough to
gather some folks and get letters out in time for Xmas! \n\nDay 6- Get
active! Perhaps organize a protest or outreach event in your \narea.
Nothing helps support the SHAC 7 more than the use of our rights to
\nspeech and demonstration. \n\nDay 7- Don't back down- keep on rolling
with support and protest efforts \nfor the SHAC7, all political prisoners,
and especially for the animals. \nUpdate the SHAC7 about interesting and
positive things going on around the \nworld- we are their only good news
source! \n\nYour support is the best and only gift the SHAC 7 can receive
this year, so \nlet's make it great! \n\nFor ideas, more info, and updates
please visit www.SHAC7.com now and often. \n\nThanks! \nThe SHAC7 Support
 Committee\n\n https://www.indybay.org/newsitems/2006/12/08/18335957.php
