 wake of the recent Copley vs. San Diego Press Inc. decision (which severely 
 limits public access to the disciplinary records of police officers), the 
 Berkeley Police Association (BPA) is hoping to exclude the public from any 
 role in the police accountability process by pressing ahead with its 
 lawsuit against the Police Review Commission.  The BPA is seeking to shut 
 down the open public hearing process which has made Berkeley's Police 
 Review Commission a model for the nation.\n\nJoin us at the court house to 
 demand police accountability and civilian review!!\n\nA Press Conference
