 create visibility and stir\nup and inspire the local community. All local 
 artists, cultural workers\nand non artists are urged to step up! Anyone who 
 can hold a paintbrush can\nhelp!  A better Oakland is possible and 
 paintable!\n\nAimee Allison is running for Oakland City Council as a Green 
 candidate, and standing up to the local Democratic Party machine. A former 
 military conscientious objector, she has been an incredible force in the 
 anti-war movement and in working with youth. Now she's willing to step up 
 for the\nprogressive community and enter Oakland City Hall to change the 
 world, starting here at home.\n\n
